Planned Litters

Litters are planned for 2026 with some very exciting plans. I continue on with my plans to introduce as many of the G gene sources as possible to Australia to allow for diversity within the Cavaliers.

Health Testing

Danny has been tested for the new MMVD marker and is a carrier of the AG gene.

Chime is also carrier of the gene.

In conjunction with a very generous breeder in NSW I have been able to source a third line and I have plans for a very special mating with a carefully researched pedigree in which to start another source of the gene.

This is a new test for a gene which only a very small percentage of Cavaliers carry. Dogs with a G G or A G test result are less likely to be diagnosed with MMVD early in life compared to dogs with an A A result.

This is still in early days of testing and research, this is just a marker gene it will not guarantee anything, but research into some of the dogs carrying it is providing some positive results.

This is just a tool along with Vet and Cardiologist clearances and knowledge into longevity lines.
