Tri Cavalier King Charles Spaniel
Very excited and pleased to be able to announce my beautiful Danny has been tested for the new MMVD marker and is a carrier of the AG gene. This is a new test for a gene which only a very small percentage of Cavaliers carry. Dogs with a G G or A G test result are less likely to be diagnosed with MMVD early in life compared to dogs with an A A result. This is just a marker gene it will not guarantee anything, but research into some of the dogs carrying it is providing some positive results. This should never replace vet and cardiologist certificates or knowledge of linage.
So not only is he a rare dog for this he is also clear for DM, CM, EFD & CC holds current eye/heart specialist certificates.

Tash will undergo her heart/eye clearances shortly she was shown successfully as a pup but prefers the home life to the show ring. In the meantime, has had her breeding clearance by our very experienced vet of many years. She has been bred to Danny in July 2024 for a tri and Blenheim litter due in Sept 24. She holds a current eye specialist clearance.

I have retained Tilly my first Danny girl I have kept. She is from my beautiful Pandora and a Danny daughter and she has tested for the Ag gene I am happy to say. Tilly holds her current 2024/2025 Heart and Eye Breeding Clearances from breed specialists.
