Very excited and pleased to be able to announce my beautiful Danny has been tested for the new MMVD marker and is a carrier of the AG gene. This is a new test for a gene which only a very small percentage of Cavaliers carry. Dogs with a G G or A G test result are less likely to be diagnosed with MMVD early in life compared to dogs with an A A result. This is just a marker gene it will not guarantee anything, but research into some of the dogs carrying it is providing some positive results. This should never replace vet and cardiologist certificates or knowledge of linage.

So not only is he a rare dog for this he is also clear for DM, CM, EFD & CC holds current eye/heart specialist certificates.
